Born in Sydney, Australia, Alex has enjoyed considerable success in theatre, TV and film as a writer, actor and director and workedextensively as an activist for refugee rights with the Refugee Action Coalition (RAC). One of the world’s leading ten minute playwrights, Alex has had over 70 ten minute plays produced in over 600 productions all over the world. His most popular play 10,000 cigarettes has had over 100 productions across the globe.He has had plays workshopped and developed by the Sydney Theatre Company, Playwriting Australia and the Australian National Playwright’s Conference as well as being a former winner of the Sydney Theatre Company Young Playwright’s Scheme and Inscription (twice). Alex wrote a text for dance theatre ” Am I” in 2014.
