Rachel Elderkin – Dancer
Rachel trained at the Scottish School of Contemporary Dance in contemporary techniques and ballet. She is also experienced in jazz, modern, tap, Latin and ballroom and has previously worked as a dancer/singer for Warner Leisure and Disneyland Paris. While training and since graduating from SSCD, Rachel has been involved in a number of projects, R&D periods and outdoor performances, most recently on ‘The Infinite Bridge’ a collaboration with the Royal College of Music and choreographer Kristine Sommerlade. She loves the technicality of dance and also enjoys improvisation and outdoor work.
She joined LCP in 2015 to perform in a new dance production ” I Am”
Besides dance Rachel freelances as a writer, and studied English Literature and Greek Civilisation at the University of Leeds. She currently reviews dance and theatre productions for online theatre site, DownstageCentre.
