Mimmo Miccolis, winner of prestigious BBC Performing Arts Dance Fellowship 2011- Italian classical/contemporary dancer and choreographer graduated from two prestigious dance academies in Italy: “Fondazione Niccolò Piccinni” (Bari) and “Balletto di Toscana” (Florence). In London, he attended professional classes with national and international choreographers at The Place, Pineapple and GDA Greenwich Dance. He has started his collaboration as choreographer for “Las Chicas Production” in 2009. Previously he was a dancer of the “RBR Dance Company” in Verona, of the “Evolution Dance Theatre” in Rome and performed in Operas such as “La Traviata”, “Carmen” and “Satyricon” in Italy, Spain and Oman. His international experience also includes performances in France with “Conversation sur les Champignons” and in Albania with “Virgilio e l’Amore”.

Mimmo was assistant choreographer to Anthony Heinl at the “Corpo di Ballo del Maggio musicale Fiorentino” and at the “Evolution Dance Theatre”. He also has experience as choreographer and dancer for “Teatro91” and “Roma Sinfonietta” in Rome.

In Italy he took part in the TV show “Domenica In” as a member of the chorus and in the American film “Rome” as a performer. Mimmo was guest dancer at the “Gran Ballo Nazionale delle Debuttanti” and “Gran Gala di Rieti Danza Festival”. With the “RBR dance Company” he was invited to perform at the “International Opera Awards” that took place at the “Arena di Verona”. His style comes from classical “Vaganova” and contemporary “Graham” techniques. As a choreographer he fuses improvisation, acrobatics, illusion and theatre.
