JC Bailey – Australian Dancer and Choreographer, JC Bailey has worked for award winning choreographer Claire Marshall since graduating from QUT in 2006. She also worked for Kay Armstrong from 2011-2013 performing with Opera Australia, Australian Broadcast Company, Sydney Festival, VIVID, and Campbell town Arts Centre. JC played a lead role in The Physical TV Company’s filming of Rite of Spring in 2014, which was been screened around Australia and internationally throughout Europe. From 2013 – 2015, JC performed with Australia’s premiere Aerial Dance Company, Legs on the Wall.
JC Bailey is currently the Artistic Director of Hanging Around Co (HAC) since 2014 choreographing Hooked, To The Top, and It Takes Two. Before HAC, her work S.H.E.D won First Place and People’s Choice Award at Flip Top Heart competition and has been performed at Melbourne and Sydney Fringe Festivals. She has also created work for Beam’s Festival, The National Portrait Gallery, and Theatre Works. JC is a founding producer of Sydney’s longest running choreographic showcases; the award winning Platform Shorts and On The Cusp.
In London she joined LCP to perform at “ Escape” during the Fringe Festival 2016.
