Mireille Flores, born in Cuba and raised in Nicaragua, started dancing in the Pablo Milanes school in Havana, Cuba in 1991. When she moved to Nicaragua she continued to learn different styles including jazz, contemporary and Latin American rhythms in the National Dance School in Nicaragua. Mireille then danced for Tepenahualt, a Folklore ballet company in 2000 and in 2002 began dancing for one of the few contemporary companies in the country. During her time in this company she was trained by Finnish professors and performed in the National theatre of Nicaragua, festivals in Costa Rica and in El Salvador. She also participated in the Spanish Zarzuela “La corte del faraon” in 2005. Mireille holds a first honours degree in Social Communications and has developed dance workshops to run with kids at social risk in the poorest areas in Nicaragua. She joined LCP with “Rights(?)”.
